As Development Director Ruth is responsible for all aspects of fundraising for Headlong. Before joining the team she spent three and a half years heading up the Development and Marketing teams at the Bush Theatre and over her career Ruth has worked in a variety of arts organisations including the Almeida Theatre, Rose Theatre Kingston, Ministry of Stories and RADA.
Her varied experience in fundraising and senior management has given her great understanding of the theatre industry and she loves using that experience to benefit Headlong.
Ruth had a career in exhibition and conference management before returning to university to gain an MA in Arts Management and moving into theatre. In her spare time she watches a lot of theatre, reads a lot of books and can often be found putting the world to rights with friends and wine! She also fosters kittens and is a trustee of Toe Beans, a cat rescue charity.
