HEADLONG AND THEATRE CENTRE PRESENT TIKSHOK
The past 18-months have been a horror show for young people beginning to explore a career in the performing arts.
This Halloween, Headlong and Theatre Centre will work with 13 young freelance artists from across the UK to experiment with form and dissect the politics of the horror genre.
Experimenting with making live performance for social media, including TikTok™, young artists will gain experience and skills through a series of weekly Skillshare workshops and bespoke mentoring sessions run by leading industry professionals.
During the 8 weeks prior to Halloween, the artists will be given a series of 24-hour creative challenges to respond to using social media. We’ll bring this work together in a festival showcase on Sunday 31 October 2021 (in person, Covid restrictions allowing).
