Lexie Ward

Lexie is a Cumbrian-based theatre director who is passionate about creating work for and about the region. Her work includes: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Mansfield Palace Theatre and Festival Theatre Malvern, UK Productions), SLEEPING BEAUTY (Shared Experience Tour); WE KNOW NOW SNOWMEN EXIST (Finalist Cumbrian Culture Awards Production of the Year); FOUND FETTLE (Online, Theatre by the Lake);  ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS (West Walls Theatre); 3 MEN IN A BOAT (Cumbrian Tour); and THE 39 STEPS (Finalist Cumbrian Culture Awards Production of the Year).

As Associate Director: MIND MANGLER: MEMBER OF THE TRAGIC CIRCLE (Mischief Theatre, The Resilient Lady, Virgin Voyages 2023-2026).

As Assistant Director: MAGIC GOES WRONG (Mischief Theatre, Apollo Theatre & UK Tour), THE BORROWERS (Theatre by the Lake), SENSE & SENSIBILITY (Theatre by the Lake/York Theatre Royal). 

Lexie is the co-host of the theatre podcast Script In Hand, and Artistic Director for Highly Suspect Theatre & Murder Mysteries, with whom she has spent 9 years creating interactive murder mystery theatre that has toured the country, and enjoyed 6 sold-out years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
