Ellie began an internship at Headlong in January 2016, before accepting the job of Administrator.
Ellie graduated from Newcastle University with an English Literature degree in 2014 and spent a year working alongside venues in the North East such as Live Theatre.
In 2014 Ellie set up theatre company Plane Paper Theatre, a company that creates innovative new work that explores social themes and questions. Their production, Odd Shaped Balls enjoyed a run in Edinburgh in 2015 before transferring to the Old Red Lion Theatre in Islington where it was nominated for five Off West End Awards. They also recently produced Don’t Smoke In Bed at the Finborough and are Live Theatre’s Associate Artists 2016.
Ellie also works as a freelance producer and recent works include: It Is So Ordered (Pleasance. Developed with Park Theatre), Dreamless Sleep, Women In the West End (Arts Theatre), Breakfast Hearts/Choirplay (Live Theatre), Happy Days (Hull Truck Theatre) and she works regularly with East Riding Theatre. She also works with She Productions, a North East based all female collective who are currently East Riding Theatre's Company in Residence and a Creative Producer for Changing Face Collective. She has recently completed an MA Creative Producing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
