Erik Fleming is a computer science graduate of James Madison University, who has been working as a Software Developer at Silverchair Information Systems (located in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA) since 2012. Erik’s main areas of expertise involve programming for database and multimedia applications, working with Linux-based server environments and developing network management systems. In 2010, he began collaborating with Michael Takeo Magruder, undertaking backend software development and administration for various art projects using technologies ranging from Java to OpenSimulator. At a young age, Erik was introduced to the concept of virtual worlds through Final Fantasy XI which sparked his longstanding interests in massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) and Japanese techno-pop culture.
